Commercial Courses running hot..
Wondering what an inland dive store does in the middle of winter?
Well, we’ve currently got 12 students enrolled in a three month commercial diving course and if you think you’ve been feeling the chilly winter mornings spare a thought for our divers climbing into wet dive gear and venturing beneath the foggy waters of The Pit & Dartmouth.
If you haven't been to our website lately checkout our Follow a Course section which follows our commercial course students day by day for the duration of the three month course. The commercial dive industry is booming at the moment and our courses are booked out till the end of the year. And if that’s not enough to keep everyone busy, add a huge RTA bridge inspection contract on top of it! We’ve just completed a five week intensive program inspecting bridges all over Southern NSW from as far away as Wentworth to Corryong. Each bridge was thoroughly inspected pylon by pylon, photos taken, water tested and then a full report done on each bridge.
Gold Coast Desalination Project.. | | The Tunnel Boring Machine | |

But wait, that's not all. We have just finished preparing a training program for the Gold Cost Desalination Project where Des will be training the tunnel workers. We’ve prepared two manuals, one for the Hyperbaric workers and the other for the Lock Attendants. Complete with PowerPoint presentations, exams and course completion certificates - all in the very short time frame they provided. After a final 12 hour day on Tuesday we packed Des up and sent him off Wednesday morning for his first course which commences today—Phew! We made it!
