Summer is Apon Us
Are you Summer ready to dive??
Dive Time is here!!
Well Summer is finally here (well almost) and for many of us now is when we all start thinking about diving again. But if you have not dived for a few months, maybe you want to prepare for diving first, so that you have a great time & most of all stay safe.
So what can we do to get ready for an awesome Summer of diving. Firstly have a look at your own health. Has anything changed since you last dived? have you gotten any new health problems that might impair your ability to dive? Should you go get a new diving medical to make sure? Also remember, not only are you risking your safety, but the safety of those around you too!
So assuming that you are healthy, next might be to dust off your gear and get re-aquainted with it. Can you find everything? Do you remember how to put it all together? Are your cylinders in test? Does all your gear work & could it be time for a service? There is nothing more embarressing then turning up to a dive site and finding you are missing gear or your regs are so badly out of service they are constantly free flowing, or worst of all that you cant even remember how to put it all together.
Better to spend an hour or two before you head off finding all this out than when you are at the dive site. If you are in any doubt, bring it into Descend for a full check over and for some peace of mind.
The last thing that might be worth thinking about is doing one or two easy check-out dives before any big trip. They could be in a pool or somewhere like The Pit, just to make sure everything is super ok before any big trip. Nothing is worse than than wasting a trip because you were not 100% prepared. Better yet, book onto one of our local club dives, so you can have some professional help & assistance if you need it. After all we do love seeing you all back diving.

Well we are at the end of our part 3 training and what a busy 3 months is has been. We also have commenced a part 1 only course which finishes mid December, then we have a break until January and we start all over again for another 3 months and we are also running a full time & a part time open water course and not to mention the odd commercial jobs in between, the boys are busy busy that's for sure.
