Hyperbaric Medicine Unit

A relatively new segment of Descend is a Hyperbaric Medicine Unit. We believe we have a unique opportunity to assist local people and escalate the healing process, with a wide variety of ailments including ulcers, smoke inhalation, carbon monoxide poisoning, burns, skin grafts and slow healing wounds. This type of treatment is well recognised, however only available at one major hospital in each capital city. To date over seventy successful treatments have been completed in the Descend facility.

Hydrostatic Test Station Facility

Descend hydrostat is a fully approved testing facility approved by Standards Australia. We test BBQ gas bottles, fire extinguishers, Breathing apparatus equipment and of course all types of scuba cylinders all on site for your convenience. We have the latest advanced inspection technology and using a Visual Plus machine we can detect any fault in your cylinders no matter how small.

Sales

A full range of top quality diving equipment is stocked at competitive prices. We can help the beginner with entry level snorkeling equipment right through to a full set of top of the range equipment for the Technical diver. We even stock some great dive wear to keep you warm after your dive. Brands on offer include; Zeagle, Suunto, Mares, Oceanic, Spyderco, Sonar, DUI, Diverite, Mirage and much more. If you want something particular just let us know and we will try and get it for you.

Hire

When the school equipment is not in use it is available for hire to qualified divers. We offer the latest in hire equipment including fully weight integrated Zeagle B.C's, top of the line regulators and Suunto dive computers. We understand that excellent equipment adds to your comfort, safety and enjoyment while diving.

Dive Club

Descend has a very active dive club with approx. current 150 members. Each member receives a monthly newsletter with all the latest in courses, club dives and other club activities. We are not your average Dive Club as we offer diversity with our club dives in both salt and fresh water.

Dive Tours

Descend arranges regular weekend dive packages to Portsea, Southcoast, Jervis Bay and often runs free local dives. Activities include; seafood weekends, wreck diving, underwater photography or why not try diving the sunken township at Jindabyne, a bottle hunt in the Murray, or checking out the fresh water jellyfish in the Hume Weir. If it's wet we'll dive it!

International Dive Travel

Each year Descend offers at least one overseas dive tour with an instructor as your guide. Locations include; Vanuatu, Isle of Pines, Papua New Guinea, Truk Lagoon, The Solomon Islands and Fiji. Group bookings make these good value and our own instructors guarantee you a hassle-free tour.
