Lake Buffalo

Lake Buffalo
Lake Buffalo crayfish

Travel to Myrtleford, approximately 60km from Albury, then a sign posted road to Buffalo Dam, another 20km approx.

A shallow site, approximately 10m but dependent of Lake levels. Typical fresh water, low visibility and cold, nothing really notable here, however about 12km from Myrtleford, between Myrtleford and the Lake you will pass over Osbornes bridge, (also known as Nug Nug) over the Buffalo River and this is definitely worth a dive.

Park on the left hand side, just before the bridge on the old service road.

The rock pool is 6m deep and lots of fresh water crays to be seen (not taken). An old bridge under the water adds interest and a feet first slide in the funnel between the pools is recommended.
