Cavern/Sinkhole Course
Prerequisites
Have held an open water scuba diver award for 12 months
Have logged a minimum of 15 (post course) dives totaling 15 hours including; 2 night dives and five dives to at least 18 metres
Minimum of 18 years of age
Current medical certificate (not older than 12 months)
Course Requirements
8 hours theory for cavern divers (including examination)
8 hours theory for sinkhole divers (including examination)
Land drills and climbing skills
Three, controlled in-water instructional sessions
One pre-assessment dive
Three sinkhole dives
Course Format
1 x 2 day weekend - Albury
1 x extra theory session - Albury
1 x 3 day weekend - Mt. Gambier
Course Cost
The course cost is $800.00 per student (incl. GST) and includes;
$50.00 C.D.A.A. joining fee
$70.00 C.D.A.A. annual membership
$70.00 C.D.A.A. course package
all instruction
all airfills while in Albury
use of specialist equipment - reels and ladders
one tether clip per diver
Piccanninnie Ponds permit
2 x certification - Cavern & Sinkhole
However does not include; traveling, meals, accommodation and air fills whilst in Mt. Gambier. Minimum course numbers apply.
